People make the difference

Work With Us

Bring compassion. Stay curious.

Working alongside marginalised young people calls for empathy, sound judgement and a willingness to learn from others. These values sit at the heart of the work we describe.

A shared commitment

Meaningful support is built through everyday interactions: listening carefully, respecting difference, keeping appropriate boundaries and working with others. Whether your interest is employment, volunteering or supervised learning, the person receiving support comes first.

Employment Opportunities

Our programmes bring together different areas of practice, from outreach and counselling to residential support and education. If you are interested in contributing your experience, contact us to ask about relevant opportunities.

Responsibilities, requirements and application arrangements depend on the specific role.

Volunteering

Volunteers are part of the wider team described on our website. You are welcome to ask how your interests and skills might relate to the work, and whether an appropriate opportunity is available.

Any duties, boundaries, checks and support arrangements would need to be confirmed for the particular opportunity.

Student Placements & Supervised Learning

Students and education providers can enquire about learning connected to behavioural health practice. Tell us about your course, learning objectives and any placement requirements set by your institution.

Availability, suitability and supervision arrangements must be discussed; an enquiry is not a placement offer.

What we value in working together

Professional knowledge matters. So does how we treat people.

Compassion

Meet distress with patience and kindness, without reducing someone to what they have experienced.

Respect

Listen to each person’s perspective and take their dignity, choices and aspirations seriously.

Inclusion

Recognise different identities, cultures and ways of learning, and the barriers that can make support harder to reach.

Trust

Value clear communication, professional boundaries and relationships that develop at a person’s own pace.

Collaboration

Bring together young people, families, carers and professionals where appropriate, rather than considering needs in isolation.

Learning

Stay curious, reflect on practice and remain open to what young people and colleagues can teach us.
